Every once in a while I see an idea that I just need to share. In this case I found one that is close to my geeky heart. As I am one of the lucky people who call home work I am keen to new ideas that showcase or make my life a little simpler.
When I read an article posted OS x Daily about this ultimate office I just had to share. This guy has pretty much got it all and what was surprising to me was we think a like in regards to layout; the way he has structured his office; the equipment he uses right down to the software tools.

As a software and solutions architect I needed a space large enough to host multiple computers. A environment conducive to productivity and functional. My desk serves me well in this regard all though I am finding it could be a bit bigger.
My desk once filled with lots of computers does not leave any space to lay out paperwork, etc. So I have to rely on piles of paperwork. A design flaw I hope to soon rectify once our move is complete.
Oh yea I am moving again... I thought you would be excited? Me I have mixed emotions regarding this necessary adventure. To support my work I moved last year from Denver to LA. Now that my assignment is completed here we are moving home. I say home because it is the longest I have lived in one place for many years and my wife and I are happy there. Oh it is not quite as warm during the winter (-20 to -30 F) in the winter but with 300 days of sunshine you get use to the cold. And when spring comes you are ready to defrost.
Don’t worry the web site will not be affected. It is staying right where it is at Blue Host. But I will be posting from a new location soon.
One big disadvantage living here is I have not been able to do my art. Between not enough hours in the day and the fact that my shop is sitting in storage has not helped. But soon this will be rectified. Soon I will crack open my tools sitting silently waiting. It will be like visiting old friends.
I have so many projects lay in waiting I am giddy with joy. Projects that I had just started prior to moving here that need to be finished. New designs are just waiting in the wings. I also have some much needed repair work to finish. So it will be nice to get back to a real life and out of this fast pace life style.
Ok back to this office. If you need ideas or are in the market to modernize your home office you should check out Mitch Haile’s site. It is well documented and gives some clear insight about how to get things done!
