As you can probaby tell Xanluna! has gone trough yet another transformation. We are now running the commercial Joomla! Somaxiom by Rocket Theme. This is the latest Gantry 3 update and is very easy to manage.

You will notice a lot of changes with this release. We have updated the bulk of the graphics. Corrected some articles and completely reorganized CMS 4 Dummies section.

Set Back

Over the past week I have been trying to keep my composure after a botched software install destroyed 100s of hours worth of work, not to mention all the databases that held the data the work was supporting.

It all began about a week ago when I installed a trial application. This trial was not designed for the latest version of OS X and required Rosetta be installed. OK no big deal. Been in this place before back in my Tiger days. So I let it install Rosetta and the demo or trial as they call it worked OK. Now when the fun begins.

Word Press 3.0 and other things

Over the past couple days Word Press has announce a much anticipated upgrade to version 3.0 with thousands of bug fixes. This update also includes among other things, an attractive and modern-looking default theme and a bulk plug-in, theme, and installation updater.

For those that prefer to write blogs, I admit this is one of the best pure blogging platforms available. I started with WordPress over 5 years ago and I can tell you it is a lot easier to setup and use today then it was back then. Of course I did not know as much about PHP or CSS as I do now so I have to include that in my self taught WP education.
