What Patiences

What Patiences

In 2001 I had the opportunity to visit St. Petersburg, Russia as part of a tour group. During this visit/vacation I dated a Russian lady. It was during an outing that my date asked something, and I replied “Patience dear, Patience” My Russian girl friend promptly replied by saying “What Patience”?

My girlfriends reply of “What Patience” was not a rhetorical question! At the time, she simply did not understand the english translation. However my other english friends on the tour got a really good laugh as well as me! And even today as I think about that event in my past I have to chuckle to my self!

In all seriousness though it seems to apply in today’s current events. Not matter what the situation, you can’t expect to accomplish anything worthwhile if you do not have the patents to follow through or see through the goal at hand.

Got a Secret or is it Common Sense?

Sunday, 01 November 2009 15:36 Written by Administrator

I’ve got a secret, you’ve got a secret, everybody’s got a secret! Well sort of. Everyone is talking about the book “I’ve Got The Secret” including Emily Yoffe A Human Guinea Pig. After doing some googling I came across a number of people with secret’s, not with standing I don’t think they all have the answer to the Universal question which by the way is 42!

If you have read the book or watched the movie “HitchHikers Guild to the Galaxy” you would understand. I have been asking the universe, God, Buddha, and everyone I can think of since I was old enough to understand these concepts the same questions. Like Emily, the best source for answers in my view is what is in your gut, Wikipedia and the All mighty Google.

Time for a Change

Is the idea of change hard for you? Or do you look at change as a everyday process? The verbal glass is Half Full versus Half Empty way of thinking. Only you can be the judge of your way of dealing with change. Some see it as a challenge while others avoid it like the plague. We all have are daily routine or habits. One of mine is smoking. Yes I know it is bad for my health. Yes I was a paramedic and I should know first hand the damage that it causes. But does this make me want to quit the filthy habit any faster. The answer is no! Why?

Change is hard. In my case it is part of my daily routine. It allows me a break period to think and ponder what other changes do I have to deal with. Understandably I do need to quit and it is on my to do list. So is doing the much needed landscaping in my back yard. Or finishing the bathroom in the basement. All on my to do list to complete sometime soon. Will they get done tomorrow no. Because if I wrote everything down I need to get done it would scare the hell out of me.
